We are looking for a kitchen manager who is passionate about quality foods and wine and enjoys interacting with customers. The kitchen manager will work closely with the general manager to keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. Kitchen experience is necessary and previous management experience is preferred. Knowledge and interest of gourmet foods and wine is a plus. The kitchen manager is responsible for also supplying salads, meats and cheese to other Barriques locations. Barriques relies on this person’s passion and knowledge of our products to deliver great customer experiences. This position will allow you to learn all about gourmet foods and wine in a fun, flexible and collegial environment.

Responsibilities
Control and budget food costs at all levels of production
Coordinating the preparation of food orders for all Barriques locations
Ordering food and maintaining inventory
Innovating the deli and catering menu
Hiring, training, evaluating and scheduling staff
Control and budget labor cost
Preparing catering platters
Preparing menu items including: sandwiches, salads and soups.
Cleaning and maintaining the line, deli and cheese case.
Interacting with customers to supply meats, deli salads and cheeses.

Requirements
Certified Food Manager is a plus
Previous kitchen experience

The coffee specialist is the face of Barriques to our customers.  This position requires individuals who thrive on providing excellent customer service.  You will have the opportunity to learn about specialty coffees, espresso preparation, and retail operations.

Responsibilities
Deliver superior customer service through duties that include: taking food and drink orders, preparing high quality coffee and espresso drinks, completing cleaning duties, and washing dishes.

Our wine specialists form the core of wine team and are the primary people involved in sharing Barriques philosophy that wine can be a fun and stimulating part of everyday life.  Barriques relies on this person’s passion and knowledge of our products to deliver great customer experiences.   This position will allow you to learn all about wine, beer, spirits, food pairing, and retail operations.
 
Responsibilities
This persons primary responsibility is to share their passion and knowledge of wine with Barriques customers.  This includes assisting customers in making the appropriate wine, beer, spirit selection based on their tastes, upcoming dinner or event or other customer desire.  This position also involves taking an active role in of maintaining a clean, well stocked, well merchandised sales floor and pleasantly and efficiently completing sales transactions.   Lastly, it is expected that this person will positively contribute suggestions for improving the Barriques experience.

Description
Our entry level cook position offers the opportunity to learn basic cooking and food preparation skills in our gourmet sandwich and deli environment.  You will play an integral role in assisting in the preparation of our daily menu and catering items. 

Responsibilities
You must share our passion for fine food and drink and be willing to work diligently to provide our customers with a high-quality, efficient dinning experience.  Duties include assisting in the preparation of main dishes and baked goods; chopping vegetables, salad making, dish washing, food storing and stocking, and cleaning. Includes on-the-job training. People with minimal experience in cooking and/or food service will be considered.

·         Ability to read and adjust recipes with weights & measures, and menus

Description
Our line cooks help set the tone for the kitchen. They are committed to helping spread Barriques passion for fine ingredients and food through execution of a high quality, creative and efficiently delivered menu. 

Responsibilities
Manage overall meal production and work with prep cooks while preparing entrees, soups, sauces, baked goods and desserts. Applicants must have some professional experience within the food service area, or have extensive experience in various aspects of quantity cooking. Supervisory experience also preferred. 

Requirements

·         Passionate about consistently delivering high quality food
·       1 – 2 years experience as a cook or assistant cook
·         Ability to work well within a team, with daily deadlines.
·         Ability to prepare foods for special needs groups as needed
·         Knowledge of food preparation and service standards, health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
·         Some previous supervisory experience (preferably in food service field)
·         Ability to accept feedback and guidance
·         Good character, integrity, and adaptability
·         Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-discipline
·         Fluent in English
