Hinterland Beer Tasting - 1st Beers a Buck!

What: Hinterland & Barriques Great Taste of the Midwest Pre-Party When:Friday, August 13th Anytime between 7 - 10pm. Where: Barriques - West Wash Your First Beer is Only a Buck! Per-pay here and then just give your name to the Barriquer at the counter and they will get you hooked up. The following beers will be available: Amber Ale, Pale Ale, Cherry Wheat, Luna Stout, and the Imperial Scotch Ale ( a brewery only release with special free sampling beginning at 8pm). As a bonus, everyone taking advantage of the First Beers a Buck promotion gets entered into a drawing for a free 6-pack of their favorite Hinterland beer. Limit one per customer but feel free to buy the first round for your buddy. Must be 21 years or older. All orders must be received by 3pm on Friday, August 13th or until 75 orders have been processed, whichever comes first. Thanks and see you there on Friday night!

Death's Door founder and President Brian Ellison will be on hand to conduct the training and whip you up some of his favorites. Part 2 - Now that you have the cocktail basics down, Death’s Door founder and President, Brian Ellison, stops the by the Farmers Market and brings some fresh ingredients along to with him to showcase his fantastic Death’s Door Spirits. Samples, recipes and fun are the order of the day. Prior attendance at Part 1 of our Death’s Door summer cocktail series is encouraged but definitely not required. Part 3 - You’ve got the know-how and the ingredients, now it is time to test your skills and creativity. You bring the recipe and the ingredients and we will supply the Death’s Door Spirits. Your fellow session attendees along w/ Founder and Death’s Door President, Brian Ellison, will be on hand to help critique your concoction. A specially baked tea made to order for Rishi Tea each spring and winter. Tae Guan Yin is known as Iron Goddess of Mercy and is the most famous oolong tea. Our special grade of this tea is hand-harvested from the soft stem Wu-Yi tea bush cultivar that is descended from the original tea bushes introduced to Taiwan from Fujian in the 19th Century. Made according to the traditional Tae Guan Yin oxidation and bamboo coal baking techniques developed in China’s Fujian province, our Iron Goddess of Mercy is a special treat for oolong tea lovers.
